This Irish bread recipe is super easy to make with no kneading! Of course, you don't have to wait until next St. Patrick's Day to make it. It is great any time!
IRISH BREAD
3 C sifted flour
1/2 C sugar
1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 teaspoon Salt
1 1/2 C Raisins (or dried Cranberries)
1 Tablespoon Caraway seeds (optional)
2 Eggs beaten
1 3/4 C Buttermilk or milk
4 Tablespoons melted Butter
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease a 5X9 inch loaf pan, large oven proof bowl, or 3 small pans. Mix all ingredients together and pour into pans.
Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour or until toothpick comes out dry.
Remove from pans and cool before slicing.
